Michele L. Harvey
my mother said
he’d never amount
to anything
the frog I kissed and kissed
till he became a king
Michele L. Harvey, NY, has always been a dreamer and fan of fairy tale endings. She married the man her mother swore wouldn’t amount to much. He was an artist, as penniless as herself, living a life chasing his dreams, which were the same as hers. Together they weathered whatever came their way and still happily live a successful and fulfilling life of creativity thirty nine years later.

you placed on my cheek
before you turned away

ripening like persimmons…
your taste sweetens
with each passing day and night…
I kiss your back as I sleeplove of my life
kissing our baby’s toes…
old memories
of how
he came to be

It is so wonderful when different art forms are collaborating.
Thank you dear poets for being inspired by my visual art.
The swirls of colors in Susan’s art work so wonderfully with these lovely poems of love! So glad I found my way to Colorado Blvd. just now!
