Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Kathryn Barger Expresses Gratitude for FEMA and Cal OES Support as In-Person Services in Altadena Near Conclusion Following Eaton Fire.
By News Desk
Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Chair Kathryn Barger expressed her gratitude for the support provided by FEMA and the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) as they prepare to conclude their in-person services in Altadena following the Eaton Fire.
With in-person services set to end on Friday, October 17, Barger urged survivors of the Eaton Fire to visit the Altadena Community Center to receive any final in-person assistance before the closure. “I encourage any Eaton Fire survivors who still have questions to visit the Altadena Community Center before FEMA and Cal OES’s in-person services conclude [Friday]—and to remember that help will remain available online and by phone through those agencies and will still remain in-person from County partners,” she added.
Survivors seeking ongoing support can still access FEMA’s assistance through multiple channels, including DisasterAssistance.gov, by calling 800-621-3362, or by visiting ca.gov/LAfires.
Although FEMA and Cal OES will no longer offer in-person services, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and various Los Angeles County departments will continue providing in-person assistance at the Altadena Community Center, located at 730 E Altadena Dr.
For additional recovery resources and to stay connected with ongoing support, residents are encouraged to reach out to the relevant agencies and explore available online tools.
