On Saturday, October 11, 2025, the City of Pasadena, in partnership with the Pasadena Latino Heritage Committee, hosted the 27th Annual Latino Heritage Festival. This vibrant celebration highlighted the cultural richness, unity, and enduring contributions of the Latino community. With the theme, “Un Pasado con Orgullo, un Futuro con Esperanza” (“A Proud Past, a Hopeful Future”), the event not only honored the community’s rich history but also looked forward to a brighter, more unified future.

Although the parade portion of the event was canceled due to ongoing community concerns, the festival itself was a resounding success. Crowds gathered at Pasadena City Hall to enjoy a diverse array of cultural performances, food, and community engagement.

The evening’s entertainment featured performances by local talent, including the Pasadena High School Band, Folklorico Mexica, the Blair High School Orchestra, and the lively regional sounds of Los Jornaleros del Norte. The festival’s headliner, Grammy Award-winning band Ozomatli, energized the crowd with their signature blend of Latin rhythms, rock, and funk.

In addition to the music, attendees were treated to a bustling market with local vendors and artisans offering unique goods, as well as a variety of delicious Latin American cuisines. A special exhibition of classic cars from local car clubs added an extra touch of flair, showcasing stunning vintage vehicles.

Community-based organizations and city departments were also on hand, providing valuable resources and information to help attendees connect with services and opportunities throughout Pasadena.

Though the parade was missing, the festival proved that the spirit of the event is alive and well. It served as a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and hope of Pasadena’s Latino community, celebrating both its rich past and promising future.
