The third Annual Altadena Pride Walkabout, through Central Altadena, on Saturday, June 8th from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, will celebrate LGBTQ+ Community’s pride and unity.

      By News Desk

The walk will originate at the Altadena Library, wind through the center of Altadena with three events along the way,  and culminate at the Altadena Senior Center for the day’s final event.

Each event exists as a stand-alone, so participants are welcome to join for the whole tour or meet us for any individual element they are drawn to.

There will be appearances and speeches by Congresswoman Judy Chu, State Senator Anthony Portantino, 5th District Supervisor Kathryn Barger, Altadena Town Council Chair Victoria Knapp, and many members of the Altadena Town Council.

The entire day’s worth of activities, events, and food are free to all thanks to our incredibly generous and supportive community.

“We continue the mission of Altadena Pride. We move forward to increase visibility and promote kindness and respect toward all of our diverse community members in Altadena,” said Nic Arnzen, Altadena Town Council Member and Founder of Altadena LGBTQ+ Pride Walkabout.

      Schedule of Events

      • 10:00 am: Opening Ceremony

      • 11:30 am: Spiritual Exploration
Altadena Baptist Church hosts a welcoming and inclusive exploration of spirituality and acceptance.  All are welcome, and a wide array of spiritual and meditative practices from throughout Altadena will be represented.
      • 12:30 pm: Free Community Picnic
