      The City of Rosemead has something for everyone as part of its annual 4th of July celebration.

      The City of Rosemead invites you to take part of this special 4th of July celebration commemorating its 60th birthday. The festivities begin at 10:00 a.m. with a parade along Valley Boulevard, between Muscatel Avenue and Loma Avenue, ending at Rosemead Park- 4343 Encinita Avenue, Rosemead, CA.

      TRAFFIC CLOSURES
      Thursday, July 4th from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the following locations:

      • Valley Blvd. between Walnut Grove and Rio Hondo Ave.
      • All lanes on Mission Dr. from Rosemead Blvd. to Rio Hondo Ave.
      • Bartlett Ave. between Valley Blvd. and Scott St.
      • Gernet Ave. between Valley Blvd. and Steel St.
      • Muscatel Ave. and Scott St.
      • Ivar Ave. and Valley Blvd.
      • Hart Ave. and Valley Blvd.
      • Encinita Ave. and Mission Dr.

      Expect delays and use alternate routes.

      Rosemead Park

      The fun will continue at Rosemead Park from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. with activities, rides and attractions, live entertainment and a grand firework display. Enjoy a tasty selection of foods from a variety of vendors including tacos, BBQ Ribs, snow cones, hamburgers, kettle corn and much more. All day use wristbands for the carnival rides can be purchased from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for $15 each. Presale of wristbands will be available for $12 at the following locations: Garvey Community Center – 9108 Garvey Avenue, Rosemead, CA and Rosemead Community Center – 3936 N. Muscatel Avenue, Rosemead, CA.

      SCHEDULE OF EVENTS AT ROSEMEAD PARK

      Carnival and Food Booths – 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
      Recreational Swimming – 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
      Community Performers – 12:30 p.m.
      Dog Show & Parade – 1:00 p.m.
      Powerhouse Band – 3:30 p.m.
      Opening Ceremony – 5:15 p.m.
      Suave Band – 6:00 p.m.
      Fireworks Display – Dusk

      y’s Parks and Recreation Department now through July 3, 2015, for $12 for unlimited carnival rides. All other event activities are free.
