The Los Angeles Wind and Piano Sextet will perform at the upcoming Restoration Concert on April 27, featuring an engaging mix of music by Ibert, Ravel (Mother Goose Suite), Poulenc, Saint-Saëns (Danse Macabre), Adriene Albert, Rachmaninoff, and Holst (Jupiter from The Planets).

Bernadene Blaha and Kevin Fitz-Gerald will perform on piano, Susan Greenberg on flute, Jonathan Davis on oboe, Sérgio Coelho on clarinet, Judith Farmer on bassoon, and Amy Jo Rhine on horn. The concert is presented by the Restoration Concerts Committee of the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library and will be held in the Library Community Room in South Pasadena. Tickets will be available at the door for $25 or online at this website ($26).

Bernadene Blaha commands the piano, whether featured as recitalist, concerto soloist, or chamber musician, and has been heralded in performances throughout North America, Europe, Australia, Asia, and Mexico. Canadian pianist, Kevin Fitz-Gerald, enjoys a versatile performing career as recitalist, orchestra soloist, and chamber musician. Flutist Susan Greenberg excels as soloist, chamber musician, symphony player, and recording artist. Jonathan Davis plays regularly with orchestras throughout Southern California, including the San Diego Symphony, the Pacific Symphony, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Sérgio Coelho, an accomplished clarinet player and educator based in Los Angeles, collaborates with prestigious ensembles from around the world. Judith Farmer enjoys a rich and varied career as a chamber musician, orchestra musician, soloist, and teacher. Amy Jo Rhine was appointed by Gustavo Dudamel as third horn of the Los Angeles Philharmonic during the 2014/15 season.

The Restoration Concerts Committee, a part of the non-profit organization, The Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library, has a goal to bring world-class music at an affordable price to the concertgoers in South Pasadena and surrounding communities. As the name suggests, net proceeds from the concerts provide for restorations, enhancements, and other benefits to the South Pasadena Library and Community Room.
