Join in protesting the anti-LGBTQ film screening and workshop at the Pasadena Seventh Day Adventist Church.
The event starts at 9:45 and is over at 7pm. Meeting is at 9am at the entrance to the church to hand out flyers and show support for our LGBTQ community.
Because of the length of the event, we are looking for volunteers to offer to be at the church for specific times, so we can hand off flyers and supplies.
9-12pm is covered by Jah-Nelle Delgado.
12-4pm needs a volunteer, as does 3-7pm.
The film and event is organized by “Coming Out” Ministries, and features Mike Carducci, who has accused gay couples of “allowing demons to come in with them and to engage with your children.”
When “Coming Out” Ministries tried to hold a similar event in London, over 40,000 people signed a petition asking the UK Government to not allow them visas because of their anti-gay views. The event was canceled.
“Coming Out” Ministries promotes the idea that gay people can be changed. California has banned the use of this therapeutic approach on minors since 2011.
