LA Fire Justice, the Delgado Family of La Fiesta Grande Restaurant, and Labor Community Services will host a traditional Posada celebration Wednesday, December 17, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm to bring warmth, community, and support to families affected by the Eaton Fire.

The Delgado family has partnered with LA Fire Justice to help educate the Latino Community impacted by the Eaton Fire about their right to become whole, regardless of their immigration status. The celebration will be at La Fiesta Grande Restaurant, 181 E Glenarm Street in Pasadena.

A Posada is a beloved Christmas tradition that reenacts Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem as they searched for shelter. The celebration includes a procession with participants singing songs and symbolically asking for lodging, representing themes of hospitality, compassion, and welcoming those in need. The tradition concludes with a community gathering featuring food, music, and celebration—a fitting way to show solidarity with fire vsurvivors who continue to search for permanent shelter nearly a year after the devastating blaze.

The event will provide traditional Posada festivities, delicious appetizers, pan dulce, and atole and an opportunity for the community to come together in support of some of our most vulnerable neighbors who remain displaced by the fire.
