ArtCenter College of Design will host a special event, Planting Seeds: Remembering the LA Fires at its Hillside campus.
The event will feature a meaningful act of remembrance as attendees plant California poppy seeds on the College’s campus. As the state flower, the California poppy is celebrated for its resilience and ability to flourish even in harsh conditions, making it a fitting symbol of renewal and remembrance. ArtCenter College of Design is proud to participate in the Great Altadena Poppy Seed Project, a regional initiative aiming to plant 250 million California poppy seeds in areas affected by the Eaton Fires.
The event is free and open to all community members, welcoming individuals of all ages to join in the planting of poppy seeds and share in a collective moment of remembrance. This gathering highlights the importance of community and resilience in the face of hardship.
