The annual Pasadena Mental Health Day is a free event at the Pasadena Central Library.
“Roads to Empowerment”: the 8th Annual Pasadena Mental Health Day is open to the public. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, this event is dedicated to raising awareness about mental illness, decreasing the stigma, and increase knowledge and access to quality mental health services and resources in the community.
Pasadena Mental Health Day 2018, “Roads to Empowerment,” focuses on:
1) Increasing awareness of mental illness and challenges
2) The significance and benefits of mental and emotional health
3) Practical resources and tools to empower individuals in coping with and overcoming challenges
Featuring a keynote speaker, panel discussions, and distinct workshops for youth and adults, attendees of Pasadena Mental Health Day 2018 will:
- Gain knowledge on the current mental health issues and challenges faced today.
- Find empowerment in awareness and the importance of addressing mental illness and healthy living.dis
- Discover different paths of healing or coping, and the benefit it has on young children and families.
Interactive and insightful workshops for youth and adults – including parents, new adults, and seniors – will offer healthy coping skills and a glimpse into the many ways one can create a better and healthier future for their families and children.
