Adding to the whimsy of Lisa Varchol Perron’s picture book “Wonder Why,” a mini-concert from Pasadena Conservatory of Music will help readers ages 3-9 to consider questions such as why the sky is blue or why thunder crackles in the night.
The Pasadena Conservatory of Music will be putting on a special musical storytime with featured book Wonder Why by Lisa Varchol Perron. Caregivers and children aged 3-9 will enjoy story, craft activities, creative movement and a mini-concert!
Wonder Why takes the curious young reader through the arc of a day–from blue skies to rain and thunder, a rainbow, and finally nighttime. Each stanza poses a “wonder why” question that is answered simply and accurately in a beautiful verse. The story begs for reading aloud and repeated readings. Young readers will be encouraged to be curious about the natural world around them…and to ask “Why.”
