      Octavia E. Butler Science Fiction Festival (Photo – PUSD)

      The Octavia E. Butler Library Science Fiction Festival will return on March 21 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm.

      Festival highlights include:

      • Free Book Fair with Octavia’s Bookshelf – Complete missions (hosted by various presenters) for a chance to visit the free book fair hosted by Octavia’s Bookshelf. There will be swag bags, books, and other surprises while supplies last. For a full list of presenters, click here.
      • Star Wars Meet and Greet – Meet some of your favorite Star Wars characters from the 501st Legion.
      • Photo Booth – Visit the free photo booth to make a festival memento.
      • Contest Gallery – Visit the Contest Gallery to see all of this year’s entries and winners to the Octavia E. Butler Library Science Fiction contest.
      • Cosplay Contest – Come in your best sci fi costume or make one in the costume workshop with Remainders to compete in the cosplay contest.

      Snacks will be available for purchase; proceeds go to supporting Octavia E. Butler Magnet school and its programs. On the day of the festival, enter the campus through the pedestrian gate off of Marengo Ave. Follow the sidewalk to the ramp to check-in.
