Octavia E. Butler Science Fiction Festival (Photo – PUSD)

Will feature author and researcher Dr. Kendra Parker, who will join from Georgia on Zoom to present her lecture: “Walking a Mile in her Shoes: Exploring Octavia Butler’s Archives.”

Follow along in Dr. Parker’s exploration of Los Angeles and Pasadena, and learn about Butler’s life, on the 18th anniversary of Butler’s death. Dr. Parker will be available to answer questions and share the many deep insights she gained into Butler’s personal life from studying Butler’s papers.
