Ever wonder about the incomplete ending of the I-710 Freeway at Alhambra’s Valley Boulevard?
Dr. Ron Sahu’s free public presentation, titled “Not Just Another Road: The History of the 710 Freeway and Alhambra,” will explore how the freeway came to remain incomplete, the political and planning decisions behind it, and the lessons that can be drawn from this history.
The talk will also examine the current “living history” of the 710, its present status, related traffic challenges in Alhambra and surrounding areas, and what may lie ahead. Dr. Sahu will conclude with a brief look at future options and potential solutions.
