Let the hunt begin!
Monterey Park’s Recreation & Community Services Department invites families to Barnes Park to search for eggs. Thousands of eggs will be scattered throughout the field for kids to find.
Egg Hunt Details
There are designated times for each age group.
Little Bunnies: 0-3 years old
4:30 pm – 6:00 pm
- Located in Patio Area (North of Tennis/Pickleball Courts)
- Participants for the 0-3 year-old egg hunt must obtain a ticket at the Recreation info booth (1 ticket per child).
- Each participant is allowed only one entrance into the 0-3 egg hunt area.
- A maximum of 2 parents/guardians are allowed in the patio with each participant.
- Each participant will collect up to 5 eggs that they will redeem for one prize upon exiting the egg hunt area (limited quantity of prizes available).
Big Hoppers (No adults allowed in the fenced area)
4-6 years old at 5:00 pm
7-9 years old at 5:45 pm
10-12 years old at 6:30 pm
- Located in Barnes Park Field
- Eggs will contain prizes (candy, toys, etc.)
- Special eggs with grand prizes
Additional Activities
- City-sponsored game booths
- Pictures with Peter Rabbit
- Weekly Farmers’ Market
- Food and Craft Vendors
