How do we get our water? How we can protect it for the future? These questions are more pressing than ever, and the “2026 Winter League Day: Our Local Water Supply” event on Saturday, January 31, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm via Zoom, aims to help answer those questions for residents of Los Angeles County.
Water is one of the most urgent issues facing Los Angeles County. As climate pressures intensify and communities adapt to new realities, Angelenos are asking important questions: Where does our water come from? How secure is our supply? What challenges lie ahead — and what can we do now to strengthen our future?
The online community forum will be led by Adán Ortega, Jr., Chair of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, one of the most influential water agencies in the country. He’ll break down how Southern California’s water system works, what’s changing, and what every resident should understand about conservation, reliability, and long-term planning.
