Kidspace Children’s Museum is brewing up a cauldron of fun this fall for Pasadena’s favorite family Halloween celebration.

Families are invited to join the rollicking costume parades, create a friendly monster to take home, and craft an enchanting elixir in the Witch’s Kitchen. Kick off the spooky season with a day packed full of monstrously fun family memories starting September 19 through Halloween.

Kidspace Halloween thrills create magical memories all season long, including:

      • Daily Costume Parades: Little mermaids and mummies can do the Monster Mash across the Halloween stage at the daily costume parades happening at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm.
      • Adopt-a-Monster Workshop: Design and take home your own delightfully silly or spooky sidekick.
      • The Witch’s Kitchen: Mix up magical potions with a pinch of dragon scales, a drop of unicorn tears, and a dash of hocus pocus.
      • Pumpkin Bowling: Go boo-ling for strikes, where every roll is a scream!
      • Halloween House: Take a trike for a spin around the track and through a kooky-spooky Halloween house.

Mark your calendar because this spooky season is brimming with special events, including:

      • Celebration of the Young Child Fall Festival, September 20 – Kidspace is a proud sponsor of the City of Pasadena’s Celebration of the Young Child Free Fall Festival. Families are invited to join this joyful day celebrating Pasadena’s designation as a City of Early Learning, happening in Brookside Park on September 20 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Kidspace will be open to the public during the festival for a special day geared toward children 6 and under.
      • Bob Baker Marionette Theater, October 5 – A live performance by the Bob Baker Marionette Theater, previewing part of their beloved Hallowe’en Spooktacular, featuring fuzzy monsters, out-of-this-world aliens, and silly dancing pumpkins.
      • Owl-o-ween Member Event, October 17 – This members-only evening is always a hoot! Meet nocturnal neighbors up close with live owl encounters, enjoy moonlit museum play, and so many surprises. Become a member today at kidspacemuseum.org/join.
      • Halloween Day Party, October 31 – Celebrate Halloween in the daytime with your little pumpkin and enjoy complimentary balloon twisting and face painting from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm.
      • Día de los Muertos Celebration, November 1 & 2 – During Halloween, prepare to remember and celebrate Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) by picking the fall produce and gathering conchas in the market at Muddy Boot Farm. This celebration of life includes music, dance, art, and a community ofrenda where families can share memories of people and pets who have enriched their lives.

      > All Kidspace Halloween activities are included with general museum admission and are free for members. Costume parade times are subject to change—check the website for updates and to reserve your tickets in advance at kidspace.org. Kidspace Halloween will be available from September 19 – October 31, 2025. Museum hours are Tuesday – Sunday from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.
