The holiday season is officially kicking off in Northeast Los Angeles as the community prepares to celebrate a beloved local tradition: the 80th Anniversary Northeast LA Christmas Parade.
The Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council announced that residents, families, and visitors are invited to gather for one of the region’s most treasured annual events.
The parade, recognized as one of the longest-standing holiday traditions in NELA, brings together neighbors, local businesses, community groups, and festive performers for a day of celebration, cheer, and unity. Organizers say this year’s milestone anniversary promises to honor both the parade’s rich history and the vibrant spirit that defines Highland Park today.
“It’s almost that time!” the council shared in their announcement, expressing excitement as the community gears up for the holiday spectacle. “Let’s come out, support our local businesses, and celebrate the heart of NELA with friends, family, and neighbors.”
The event annually draws crowds from across Los Angeles, highlighting the cultural diversity and neighborhood pride that make Highland Park a unique and thriving community. Attendees can expect festive floats, marching bands, classic cars, and appearances from local organizations, all wrapped in the warmth and magic of the season.
