A collaboration between artists from Art Division and ArtCenter’s Socially Engaged Art class sponsored by Mary Pickford Foundation in conjunction with Designmatters.
With artists:
Alfredo Alvarado, Jackie Amezquita, Patrick Kim, Milton Lazaro, John Lee, Ana Leonido, Sandra Maldonado, Nancy Matias, Eve Moreno, Bryan Ortega, Camille Gonzaga Papa, Sarah Park, Johnny Pérez, Andy Rivera, Jeremy Saborio, and Izabella Sanchez.
Heart Like Soft Sweet Bread is an installation that resembles a cake. It will act as a close quarters gallery featuring photographs and paintings that address the artists’ vulnerabilities.
Narratives of Resistance Magazine (NoRM) is a self-published forty-page magazine highlighting Queer and Trans People-of-Color using L.A. as a connecting point.
Pico-Union Street: A Reclamation of Home is a short film accompanied by a audio recorded interview piece centered around the rapid development in Los Angeles and the people affected by it.
Out There? is a collaborative body of work that engages with the issue of displacement.

ArtCenter’s Socially Engaged Art class is dedicated to understanding the field of social engagement through the visual arts as a discipline and emphasizes dialogue, collaboration and action. Art Division is a non-profit organization located in Westlake, Los Angeles devoted to serving youth who are committed to pursuing and studying the visual arts.
