With presidential campaigns well under way for the 2020 election, voter suppression remains as a potentially crucial impediment to the fundamental exercise of our democracy, the sanctity of the core U.S. principle of one person-one vote, and the continuing struggle for racial justice in America.
Producer-director Anne deMare brings these issues to light in her vivid account of a small group of dedicated voting rights activists monitoring the 2016 election at a North Carolina county polling place.
