A candlelit remembrance honoring the Altadena community’s grief and resilience is scheduled at the burned site of the Altadena Town & Country Club, located at 5400 N. Lake Ave.
The gathering will mark one year since the devastating Eaton Fire and will bring residents together in reflection and solidarity. Organizers say the event is intended to commemorate loss while looking ahead to healing, rebuilding, and a brighter future for the community.
“Altadena Town & Country Club may have burned, but our community’s unshakeable bonds cannot be broken,” event organizers shared in an invitation to residents.
The vigil is being coordinated by Kinfolk Helping Hands, Connect 2 Rise Inc., and Intentional Talk Radio Network. Community members are invited to attend and stand together in remembrance.
Scheduled performers include a children’s choir, the Benn Family, known for their appearance on America’s Got Talent, and a lineup of community speakers. The evening will be emceed by Greg Mack, morning host on 94.7 The Wave.
To accommodate attendees, multiple transportation options will be available. Street parking will be permitted near the vigil site, though the parking lot at the location will be closed for the event. Free shuttle buses will operate from Lake Avenue and Mendocino Street, with loading times between 6:15 and 6:55 p.m. A shuttle will also load passengers between 6:45 and 7:00 pm from the corner of Lake Avenue and Mendocino Street, near 2270 Lake Ave., Altadena.
Free transportation to and from the vigil is also available through Pasadena Village for residents in Los Angeles and Orange counties. More information can be obtained by calling 626-765-6037.
