artnightEnjoy a free evening of art, music and entertainment as Pasadena’s most prominent arts and cultural institutions swing open their doors.

Begin your journey at any one of 18 participating cultural institutions, where free shuttles will be waiting to transport you to your next destination.

      ArtNight Spring 2016 highlights

      • A special one-night only entrance to USC Pacific Asia Museum’s “Royal Taste” exhibit (the art of princely courts in 15th Century China).
      • A Norton Simon Museum exhibit entitled “Marcel Duchamp to Pop Art” examines Duchamp’s potent influence on pop culture artists such as Andy Warhol and Ed Ruscha.
      • Light Bringer Project at Day One, “3D Masterpiece Menagerie,” bringing artwork to life!
      • ArtCenter College of Design exploration of the rich beauty and history of letterpress typography.
      • A night of weird and wacky art at Kidspace Museum that you have to see to believe—and enjoy.
      • The beauty of textiles at the quilt exhibit sponsored by the Pasadena Museum of History.
      • The Lineage Performing Arts Center presents contemporary dance while MUSE/IQUE brings salsa to the Paseo Colorado.

      – Tips

      • If you’re planning on starting at Pasadena City Hall location, make sure you show up a bit earlier than 6pm, as shuttles may tend to fill up fast. It’s also a good idea to show up early as the start time may be fluid (one year they showed up late and another year they left early).
      • Make sure you plan to be back to your start destination by 9:45 pm, as shuttle drivers can be temperamental (it’s a problem that’s been plaguing the shuttle experience at ArtNight for years and the organizers don’t seem to have a solution for it).
      • There will be plenty of food trucks to chose from. (As part of the GiveBack Program, these food trucks will donate 10% of their ArtNight proceeds to help support future ArtNights).

Free shuttles run all evening with stops at each venue. Park at any one venue and ride to the others.

      Pasadena Transit
Pasadena Transit 10 runs along Colorado Boulevard and Green Street until 8 p.m. Information. at pasadenatransit.net.

      Metro Rail
Go Metro and take the Gold Line to Memorial Park Station! Receive some pretty cool stuff when you show your valid TAP card, Metro employee ID, or LA County employee ID. Metro bus and rail transportation to Pasadena runs until 2am. Visit the Metro Trip Planner or call (323) 466-3876.

      > For accessibility assistance or shuttle transportation to the venues, or to request information in braille or large-print format, call (626) 744-7062.
