Last weekend El Portal Mexican Restaurant celebrated its 25^th Anniversary in the Playhouse District.

Customers came from Pasadena and the surrounding area for food, drink and happy times. The celebration included a special menu, tequila tastings, live entertainment, a raffle, dancing and a Happy 25th Anniversary cake made at the restaurant. Customers filled all of the seats inside and outside.

El Portal has survived and thrived for 25 years in no small part because of the excellent customer service provided by owner Abel Ramirez, his family and staff. The business also has expanded to Vanessa’s Coffee and Yahaira’s Cafe in the same Arcade between Green Street & Colorado Boulevard.
