Speaker Alissa Kloner is Associate Director, Strategic Partnering BMW Designworks; and founder of InContext Research.
Alissa joined BMW Designworks in 2014 supporting partnerships for strategic design development in Healthcare, and Lifestyle industries. Grounded in a customer-centric “storytelling” approach, she has delivered innovation and development strategy to a range of clients from automotive, to luxury, to healthcare and CPGs. Within topics of healthcare, she has studied socio-economic factors leading to childhood obesity for Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move initiative, helped adjust resources toward better caregiver support for end-of-life programs, supported device design and delivery systems for self-injectables, and documented “patient journeys” for numerous diagnosis identifying key areas of opportunity to help support treatment adherence. But whether it is identifying and building better treatment programs or supporting design for the future of e-bikes in Smart Cities, Alissa strongly believes that the key to success is asking the right questions to the right stakeholders. Alissa studied cultural anthropology and evolutionary biology at UCLA and holds a Masters in business and Integrated marketing from Northwestern University. She’s an avid cyclist, Founder of InContext Research, mentor for the United Nations Foundation GirlUp! Initiative, and passionate about helping uncover stories that will support healthy, full lives.
