Los Angeles County, including San Gabriel, is set to experience extreme heat this week, with temperatures expected to soar into the upper 90s and 100s from Thursday, August 21, through Saturday, August 23. In response to the intense heat, local authorities have issued an Extreme Heat Warning and are urging residents to take precautions.

To provide relief, the City of San Gabriel opened two cooling centers for residents to escape the heat. These centers are available Thursday through Saturday, offering a safe and cool environment during the hottest part of the day.

500 S. Del Mar Avenue
Open: Thursday–Saturday, 10:00 am–7:00 pm
