Community members will gather at Pasadena City Hall on Saturday, January 24, at 7:00 pm for the Every Person Has a Name Commemoration Ceremony, an event dedicated to reflecting on and remembering those murdered during the Holocaust.

Held in a time of rising antisemitism and hate, the ceremony brings the community together for remembrance and reflection. Featured speakers include Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo, Congresswoman Judy Chu, State Senators Sasha Renée Pérez and Susan Rubio, along with local clergy.
Immediately following the ceremony, a 24-hour vigil will begin, during which volunteers will read the names of those who were killed. Organizers report that some volunteer reader slots are still available.
The public is invited to attend the commemoration ceremony, stop by to listen as names are read, or participate as a volunteer name reader. Organizers describe volunteering as a powerful and meaningful way to help ensure that every name is spoken and remembered.
