Closing Reception for “Here Lay A Home” at the Armory

Join the Armory for an intimate closing reception of the community centered exhibition Here Lay A Home.

Bring your family and friends for a community-led walkthrough with artists of the Here Lay A Home collective from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. The walkthrough will be followed by intergenerational StoryBooth interviews with Perennial Memory Lab from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm.

StoryBooth is a pop-up style oral history session facilitated by Here Lay A Home and Perennial Memory Lab. Community members are invited to an informal interview space that lends itself to the organic nature of sitting in the living room and sharing stories. This exchange between elders and youth, community residents and community organizers, family and new friends are filmed and recorded by Kennedy Arnette at community gatherings to concisely engage and document collective memory which will be stored within the Here Lay A Home archive.
