Pasadena’s much-anticipated Cheeseburger Week is making its comeback this year, and fans of the iconic American sandwich are in for a treat.

      By John Boucher

Originally scheduled for January, the event was postponed to February to prioritize the recovery efforts for the Eaton Fire. Now set to take place from February 23 to March 1, 2025, the event promises a week of mouthwatering burgers, tasty deals, and citywide celebrations.

While the exact year of the cheeseburger’s invention is a topic of debate, with the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce suggesting 1924, it’s clear that no matter who claimed the title first, there’s one thing everyone can agree on—cheeseburgers are a cherished part of American culinary history.

Over 40 restaurants, burger joints, and lounges in Pasadena will join the celebration, offering signature burgers, limited-time specials, and even unique creations for burger lovers to savor throughout the week.

      Participating Restaurants and Special Offers

The festivities will bring together some of Pasadena’s most beloved eateries, including locations in Old Pasadena. Whether you’re in the mood for classic burgers or daring new takes on the favorite dish, there’s something for everyone. Here are some highlights:

      • Dog Haus (both Pasadena locations): Enjoy a $10 Haus burger and drink combo, including options for fountain drinks, beer, or a well shot.
      • Lucky Baldwin’s Pub: Try their Slider Flight, offering a taste of multiple delicious burger varieties.

      Old Pasadena Cheeseburger Spots

Several Old Pasadena restaurants will be serving up cheeseburgers, though they may not all feature special promotions. For a wide selection of burger options, visit these spots (many with vegan or vegetarian choices available):

      • Barney’s Beanery
      • Blind Donkey (Vegan options)
      • Cheesecake Factory
      • Craft by Smoke and Fire

      • Dog Haus Biergarten (Vegan options)

      The Cheeseburger Passport and Challenge

For those eager to experience even more, the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce is offering a Cheeseburger Passport, which helps you explore all the participating spots. You can also take part in the Cheeseburger Challenge, where patrons can try burgers from multiple locations to earn rewards. Don’t miss out on this flavorful celebration of the cheeseburger—mark your calendars for February 23 to March 1, 2025. Whether you’re a lifelong burger fan or a newcomer eager to try something new, Cheeseburger Week in Pasadena promises an unforgettable week of indulgence and fun.
