Attention cat lovers, CatCon 2017, which took place this past summer at the Pasadena Civic Center, was a great success with CatCon fans that prompted organizers to come back again to the historic venue in 2018.

What to expect at a CatCon convention?

CatCon® is the only cat-centric, pop culture convention in the world. Participants can expect a MEOWzing activations, fun seminars, informative displays within their Awareness Pavilion, and an exhibition hall full of carefully curated merch for the cat-loving set. At the heart of it all is the self described “biggest” Adoption Lounge ever, where you can meet an adoptable shelter kitty to add to your family. (Last time, Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA helped facilitate 150 on-site adoptions).

There will also be lots of meets and greets and lots of PAWsome workshops led by leading cat experts. The Second Annual CatCon Awards, honoring 2018’s Advocate of the Year, will be back with new categories including the Best Biscuit Maker.

Tickets will be on sale early 2018.

Created in 2015, CatCon® has donated nearly $70,000 to organizations including FixNation, Lil BUB’s BIG Fund and Kitten Rescue. Parent company Ticket Out also runs Cat Art Show, an exhibition series that has showcased some of the biggest names in worlds of art and culture, including Shepard Fairey, Norman Reedus, Kat Von D, and Mark Ryden.
