The latest campaign finance report for the District 4 candidates for Alhambra City Council show that Noya Wang has received $14,089 in donations this quarter, Je-Show Yang received $4,881, Katie Chan received $4,270, and Karsen Luthi is his sole donor, donating $5,865 to his own campaign.

Noya Wang
In small donations (under $100 each) Noya Wang has raised $5724 this quarter. In donations above $100, she raised $7525. Twenty three individuals have donated the maximum legal limit in Alhambra, which is $280 per candidate.
Her donors include financial planners, physicians, nurses, pharmacists and property managers. Sam Woo BBQ also donated $200.
Je-Show Yang
Five individuals donated the maximum $280 to Yang’s campaign this quarter. Those donors listed themselves as a registered nurse, two consultants, a program director, and an educator, who in this case is Pasadena City College’s Jose Gomez.
Katie Chan
Five donors (a teacher, an engineer, a consultant and two administrators) have donated the maximum allowed $280. Chan has loaned $7450 to her campaign.
Two members of Alhambra’s community who are also supporting Yang’s campaign also donated to Chan. Mr. McCammon ($250 year to date), and Eric Sunada ($280). Sunada’s name appears on the back of Yang’s latest mailer. In 2014, Eric Sunada ran for Alhambra City Council District 1 seat against Stephen Sham, who ultimately won the election.
Karsen Luthi
Karsen Luthi, retired, donated $5865 to his own campaign and loaned his campaign $1000 of his personal funds.
The final reporting period will close two months after the November 4 election.
Voting begins on October 26, 2024, and ends at 8:00 pm on November 5, 2024.
