Bike Repair @ Repair Cafe (Photo – Staff).
Isn’t always feast or famine?
By Jessica Woo
Repair Cafe is in need of bikes to repair, as a host of bike repair people are offering to help. Get your bike ready just in time for the 626 Golden Streets.
What do you do with a chair when the leg has come loose? With a toaster that no longer works? Toss it? No way! Repair it at…Repair Café.
What to expect?
- Free repairs of BIKES!, appliances, electronics, clothing, and tool sharpening.
- The Really, Really Free Market will be up and running. Bring something. Take something. Free.
- Bring a Mason Jar to be converted to water bottle at the Zero Waste station.
- Free seedlings:
The Hill Street Library’s Seed Library will be passing out free seeds. The seed lending library holds hundreds of different varieties of seeds. Some need to be separated out, labeled, and sealed into small envelopes. While you wait for your items to be repaired, you can help make the seed library grow. All seeds are free.
What’s new?
Who are you thankful to and for what? How do you show your thanks?
Join the Pop-Up Museum Pasadena: Gratitude, an interactive art installation, where you fix your stuff then express your gratitude to those who have helped you that day — or elsewhere. You are urged to bring an object or a story to share on the theme of “Gratitude,” make art, hang out and chat about gratitude in our community.
This will be a Zero waste event.
