Blair High School students are at the top of their game after a competition about sports medicine and athletic training.

Several students advanced to nationals in the 2024 High School Sports Medicine Competition hosted by the American Academic Competition Institute (AACI).
Notably, two young students – 10th-grader Matilda Pearce and 9th-grader Naomi Suubi Kirya-Sales – ranked first and second in this year’s National Standings for schools of similar size.
“We are incredibly proud of these students for their dedication and hard work,” said Blair Principal Amy McGinnis. “These achievements are a testament to the strong foundation students build at Blair’s Health Careers Academy.”
Eight Blair Vikings ranked in the top 25 out of 350 students in their division.

Blair also placed second as a team for their division in the national standings. Testing included topics such as emergency procedures, first aid, physiology, anatomy, injuries, rehabilitation, and therapeutic exercises.
