Flyers containing anti-Armenian sentiments were found near St. Mary’s Armenian Apostolic Church in Glendale on Friday, March 31.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger issued the following statement on Saturday morning, in response to the hate flyers that targeted the Armenian community:
These actions are repulsive.
Hate speech incites violence and intolerance. There is no room for it within our communities. I want my Armenian constituents to know that I stand in solidarity with them and condemn these acts of hate.
The flyers are similar to those posted months ago in Beverly Hills prior to a scheduled demonstration to protest Azerbaijan’s blockade of Artsakh.
Glendale officials have condemned the hate flyers found on poles near the church. Glendale Mayor, Ardy Kassakhian, issued the follwing statement:
As mayor of Glendale, I’m very disturbed and upset that speech inciting violence against Armenians has visited our city by way of individuals vandalizing our city with hate-filled flyers. Our police are taking this issue seriously and will be investigating this as a hate crime. I speak for our residents and our council when I say that Glendale is not a place for hate speech against Armenians or any other group.
