Banned Books Week is Here

Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read that spans from September 25 thru October 1, 2016.

The Banned Books Week event brings together the entire book community –- librarians, booksellers, publishers, journalists, teachers, and readers of all types. The week will be a shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas, even those some consider unorthodox or unpopular.

In Pasadena, Vroman’s bookstore will commemorate the Banned Book Week with a spectacular display at the Children’s Department in the main store, and many activities at the Hasting Ranch location. Check the area where you live for local celebrations.
