A new location of HomeState is opening in the San Gabriel Valley at the edge of Altadena and Pasadena.

The opening is scheduled to take place in the spring in a few months. The new location is planning to begin with only takeout and delivery, and they plan to eventually advance to sit down and serving alcohol. The new location is replacing Lincoln, a cafe that closed down due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Lincoln was a predominant location in the neighborhood since it first opened, and HomeState, the “breakfast taco dominator,” according to Eater Los Angeles, hopes to continue that trend as the opening is good news for the residents of the quiet community.
A confirmation of the opening is a blue billboard that claims “HomeState – A Texas Kitchen – Coming Soon” near the location of the building. In recent years, there have also been HomeState openings in Highland Park and Playa Vista.
So be prepared for more delicious breakfast tacos, as HomeState is coming to the area this coming spring!

I just noticed this billboard as I was driving by. Sorry to see Lincoln go, but I’m looking forward to this new venture opening.
