Donation centers are increasingly overwhelmed with an influx of used items, such as clothing, worn-out shoes, and household goods, making it difficult for them to process and distribute everything effectively.
By News Desk
As a result, a significant portion of these items may ultimately be discarded or sent to landfills, contributing to environmental waste.
The best donation?
Here’s an example:
The California Fire Foundation is providing $250 SAVE gift cards to survivors of fires and natural disasters at the Pasadena Convention Center, located at 300 E Green St, Pasadena, CA 91101:
- These cards can be used to purchase essential items such as food, clothing, gas, medicine, or temporary shelter in the immediate aftermath of a house fire.
- Distribution runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day-or until cards run out. Cards will be available Saturday, January 11, and Sunday, January 12.”

I’m trying to organize a donation with my coworkers in OC. Will we still be able to drop off supplies early next week?
