Held annually on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, this year’s event centered on the theme of “Bravery and Resiliency.”
The tribute spotlighted the exceptional service of Los Angeles County first responders who not only serve in the military but also played critical roles during the recent Eaton Fire. Veterans from the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were honored in a moving ceremony recognizing their dedication to both country and community.
“I’m grateful for their lifelong commitment to service and sacrifice,” said Supervisor Barger during the event.
In addition to the ceremony, attendees enjoyed a variety of activities, including a resource fair tailored for veterans and their families, live music, food trucks, equipment displays, and family-friendly entertainment. The event served as both a heartfelt tribute and a celebration of the courage and resilience demonstrated by veterans and first responders alike.
