The Pasadena Area Community College District (PACCD) Board of Trustees elected Trustee Alton Wang to serve as board president for 2024-2025 during its meeting on April 10.

“I want to thank my colleagues for this vote of confidence to serve as president of the board, and I look forward to working collaboratively with our college administration, staff, faculty, and students to move PCC forward together,” Board President Alton Wang said. “I am also grateful to our community here in the San Gabriel Valley for their ongoing support of the critical work we do here at PCC, and I want to thank my community in Arcadia and Temple City for their ongoing faith in my leadership.”
The Board of Trustees also elected Trustee Steve Gibson, who represents Area 3, to serve as vice president and Trustee Ryan Liu, who represents Area 6, to serve as board clerk.
Trustee Liu and Trustee James Aragon, who represents Area 2, were sworn in to the Board of Trustees this month after being elected to their seats in March. Trustee Tammy Silver was also sworn in, following her reelection to Area 4.
During the meeting, Trustee Kristine Kwong, who represents Area 5, was recognized for her leadership during her term as board president from July 2023 until April 2024
