The Altadena Town Council will meet Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 7:00 pm at the Altadena Community Center, located at 730 E. Altadena Drive. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the Pasadena Media YouTube channel.

The meeting will open with a call to order, a flag salute led by Pastor John DeCuir, and roll call conducted by Recording Secretary Sylvia Vega. Vice Chair Milissa Marona will present the agenda for approval.
Officer reports will be delivered by Chair Nic Arnzen, Vice Chair Milissa Marona, Recording Secretary Sylvia Vega, Treasurer Darlene Greene, and Corresponding Secretary Kim Yu. The council is scheduled to approve the minutes from the December 16, 2025 meeting.
Public safety updates will be provided by Captain Ethan Marquez from the Altadena Sheriff’s Station, Officer Keller from the California Highway Patrol, and Maria Grycan, Community Services Liaison for Los Angeles County Fire Department Division 3.
Community reports are scheduled from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, the LA County Department of Planning, and the Altadena Library District. Presenters include Ryann Jorban, Deputy-in-Charge of the Economic and Labor Justice Unit in the Consumer Protection Division; Brian McGinnis, Senior Planner; and ALD Director Nikki Winslow.
Special presentations will include a wildlife update from Matt Keeling of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and a park update from Norma Garcia-Gonzales and Chester Kano of the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.
Committee reports will cover land use, renters protection and recovery, education, and the Altadena Eaton Fire Recovery Fund Advisory. An action item regarding the Altadena Main Library at 600 E. Mariposa is scheduled under the Land Use Committee, along with a public comment period.
The council will also hear general public comment, limited to two minutes per speaker, followed by census tract reports for areas 4610 and 4601 before adjourning.
Members of the public wishing to comment in person are asked to complete a comment card available at the back of the meeting room.
