As the Altadena Town Council approaches the halfway point of the year, Vice Chair Nic Arnzen reflected on the strength and dedication of the local community, stating, “At this 6 month marker, I am reminded of what an incredible hard-working community I have the honor to be a part of and truly filled with hope for this town’s future.”

The upcoming Town Council meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, July 15th, 2025, will be livestreamed on Pasadena Media’s YouTube channel, and residents are encouraged to submit public comments via email at PublicComment@altadenatowncouncil.org by 12:00 pm that day.
The meeting will open with a flag salute led by Colonel Sonny Avichal, followed by roll call and approval of the agenda. Officer reports from Chair Victoria Knapp, Vice Chair Nic Arnzen, and other council officials will precede a special address from County Supervisor Kathryn Barger.
Public safety updates will be provided by Acting-Captain Ethan Marquez of the Altadena Sheriff’s Station, Officer Keller of the California Highway Patrol, and Maria Grycan from L.A. County Fire.
Community representatives including Colonel Avichal, Anish Saraiya from CCAR, Library Director Nikki Winslow, and others will report on local initiatives. Special presentations are expected from Cal Fire’s State Fire Marshall Daniel Berlant and SGV Mosquito and Vector Control’s Anais Medina Diaz.
The meeting will also feature committee reports and key action items, including candidate statements, voting, and the swearing-in of a new councilmember by Chair Knapp. Additional updates will cover topics such as land use, legislation, renters protection, and fire recovery efforts.
Residents are invited to engage with the council and help shape Altadena’s future by submitting comments or tuning in live.
