Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger spotlighted the unveiling, describing the banner as a reflection of the strength and creativity that have long defined Altadena and continue to guide the community as it rebuilds following the Eaton Fire.
The banner’s designer, a local teen who lost his home in the fire, transformed personal loss into a message of hope for the entire community. The artwork stands as a tribute to those impacted by the wildfire and a reminder of the community’s determination to move forward together.
“I am incredibly pleased and proud to see our community continue to rise together in the wake of the Eaton Fire,” said Supervisor Barger. “This banner is a reflection of the strength and creativity that define this community. It’s a reminder that even in the hardest moments, hope and unity shine through.”
The banner was installed on Lake Avenue between Morada Place and Alameda Street. Its presence serves as a visible sign of Altadena’s ongoing recovery and the collective spirit that continues to unite the community.
