An Altadena man, 20, was killed early Friday morning after crashing a stolen vehicle into a residence near the intersection of Orange Grove Avenue and Oliver Street, authorities said.

South Pasadena police officers responded to the scene at approximately 5:04 am on September 19, 2025, following reports of a solo vehicle collision. Officers arrived within minutes and found the driver with severe injuries. They immediately began CPR until personnel from the South Pasadena Fire Department arrived and took over lifesaving efforts.
Despite their efforts, the driver succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle involved, a 2020 Dodge Charger, had been reported stolen from the LAPD Northeast Division on September 14, 2025. The deceased was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The driver’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
