Alhambra Police officers arrested a Los Angeles man following an investigation into ongoing harassment and threats reported by a woman involving her ex-boyfriend.

According to police, officers responded to a call from a victim who reported that her ex-boyfriend had been repeatedly following her to and from work and home. The victim stated the suspect confronted her, blocked her with his vehicle, and threatened to harm her using the vehicle.
Officers later located the suspect’s vehicle near the intersection of Shorb Street and Marguerita Avenue. The vehicle was parked with the engine running while the suspect stood outside a nearby business smoking. During a search of the vehicle, officers observed a white crystalline substance in plain view inside the driver’s door.
The suspect was identified as Esvin Jocolgomez of Los Angeles. He was arrested and booked at the Alhambra Police Department Jail. During the arrest process, officers also discovered additional methamphetamine rolled inside a dollar bill and hidden in one of his socks.
