Whether you’re a dedicated cinephile or simply curious to discover lesser-known films from the U.S. and around the world, a new free film club in South Pasadena may become your favorite Friday night tradition.

The South Pasadena Public Library is launching the Janus Film Club on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. The club will meet in the Library Community Room at 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena. Each gathering will feature a screening from the Janus Films catalog, followed by a brief group discussion. No RSVP is required.
Founded in 1956, Janus Films is a premier distributor of culturally significant classic and contemporary arthouse cinema. Its catalog spans a wide range of genres, languages, eras, and artistic styles.
Below are the dates and film selections for the 2026 Janus Film Club. All screenings run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm:
