      The Pasadena International Film Festival (PIFF) concluded its fourth year with its “Great Gatsby Gala” on March 16, 2017.

      Filmmakers, actors and friends packed The Speakeasy in Pasadena where awards were handed out in thirteen categories:

      • Slipaway

      BEST SHORT FILM:

      • Tale Of The Kite

      BEST DIRECTOR:

      • Giorgio Litt (The After War)

      BEST ACTOR:

      • David Barrera (Perception) – WINNER

      BEST ACTRESS:

      • Gabrielle Stone (It Happened Again Last Night)

      BEST STUDENT FILM:

      • The Voices They Hear (Directed by Miguel Chávez)

      BEST DOCUMENTARY:

      • Long Live The King (Directed by Frank Dietz and Trish Geiger)

      BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE:

      • Johnny Rey Diaz (I Am STill Here)
