Bring a picnic and enjoy FREE ballet under the stars! Los Angeles Ballet presents Agon and Rubies in Grand Park. The two pieces are set to music by Igor Stravinsky with choreography by George Balanchine.
Led by artistic directors Thordal Christensen and Colleen Neary, Los Angeles Ballet debuted in 2006 and is known for stagings of the Balanchine repertory, stylistically meticulous classical ballets and its committment to world premiere commissions.
The performances of Agon and Rubies,both Balanchine® Ballets, are presented by arrangement with The Balanchine Trust and have been produced in accordance with the Balanchine Style® and Balanchine Technique® service standards established and provided by the Trust. Balanchine is a Trademark of The George Balanchine Trust.
Prepared food picnics encouraged in the park. Grilling and cooking prohibited. Visitors may not bring alcoholic beverages into the park.
