It happens every year around election time.

It’s happening again this year in local elections. Candidates and their supporters try to skirt the rules. Yard signs are being stolen, and some have been put in yards without permission. Still other yard signs have been put on public property such as medians and verges, school grounds and public rights-of-way.
Candidates are not allowed to hand out political literature at schools. One particularly egregious incident occurred recently at an elementary school in San Gabriel. A candidate running for City Council was handing out her election literature illegally at the school and, as reported by a community member, a child began to cry because her mother was being badgered by the candidate.
If you see campaign signs placed on public property illegally, contact City Hall. They will refer you to either the City Code Enforcement office of the City Police Department. For school harassment, contact the school where it occurred. If you see something, do something!
Resorting to illegal measures during a campaign shows desperation. If the candidate feels the only way they can win an election is by cheating, how can they be trusted not to cheat when dealing with City issues?

San Gabriel candidate sign showed up at the Smart & Final in Alhambra too.
Fliers in mailboxes is another problem.
Can you please share who the candidate was?
