The beloved Levitt Pavilion Music Series could be making its return to Pasadena, but only if the community rallies behind the city’s proposal.

The City of Pasadena’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCS), in collaboration with the Pasadena Recreation and Parks Foundation (PRPF), is competing for a coveted Levitt Music Series Grant, which would bring a vibrant, free outdoor concert series to Memorial Park starting in 2026.
Funded by the national Levitt Foundation, the grant offers up to $120,000 over three years to U.S.-based nonprofits to produce a series of seven to ten free outdoor concerts annually. These performances aim to activate underused public spaces and create inclusive, music-filled community destinations.
Pasadena’s proposal is now in the public voting phase, a critical part of the selection process. Residents and supporters are encouraged to vote between Friday, September 5 and Monday, September 15, 2025, by visiting vote.levitt.org.

These were fun. Guessing securing funding was difficult.
