With Tuesday, March 5, being Primary Election Day, voting in-person is the best option!

There are two ways to vote today.
– Ballot Drop Box:
There are more than 400 convenient and secure Ballot Drop Box locations open and available to voters throughout their communities.
– Vote Center:
Safe and accessible in-person voting is available on Election Day, March 5 from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Closing of polls
Following the close of polls on March 5, 2024 at 8:00 pm, the Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters will begin tabulating election results. (Follow at this link).

Live results will be posted on the County’s election webpage, lavote.gov:
- First Results
8:30 pm – 8:45 pm: Vote by Mail ballots cast before Election Day. . - Second Results
8:45 pm – 9:00 pm: Ballots cast at a Vote Center before Election Day. - Ballots Cast On Election Day
All ballots cast at the Vote Center on Election Day will be counted and reported.
Once all ballots are counted, the Semi-Final Results will be released.
Counting ballots and reporting results does not end on Election Night. All Vote by Mail ballots cast by Election Day and received within 7 days from Election Day will be accepted, processed, and once verified, counted.
All Conditional Voter Registration (same-day registration) and Provisional Ballots cast on Election Day are processed and added to the tally once they are cleared.
Each week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, the County will update the tally of the ballots processed and counted to that point. It is anticipated that the County will complete its ballot tabulations at the end of March/beginning of April with final certified results.
