      The Altadena Town Council is seeking local volunteers to assist with the upcoming Town Council Election, scheduled for November.

      With many Altadena residents temporarily displaced, the council has expanded polling locations and extended hours to accommodate voters. This has created additional volunteer opportunities to ensure a smooth and efficient election day.

      Volunteer Opportunities

      Volunteers are needed to assist at several key polling locations across Altadena on Saturday, November 1st. Shifts are available at the following locations:

      • Altadena Grocery Outlet
        2270 Lake Avenue, Altadena, CA 91001
        10:00 am–1:00 pm → 2 slots open
        1:00 pm–4:00 pm → 2 slots open
      • Altadena Main Library
        600 E. Mariposa Street, Altadena, CA 91001
        10:00 am–1:00 pm → 1 slot open
      • Altadena Town & Country Club
        1449–1347 E. Mendocino Street, Altadena, CA 91001
        10:00 am–1:00 pm → 2 slots open
        1:00 pm–4:00 pm → 2 slots open
      • Altadena Library at Loma Alta Park
        3330 N. Lincoln Avenue, Altadena, CA 91001
        1:00 pm–4:00 pm → 2 slots open

      What Volunteers Will Do

      As a volunteer, you’ll assist at your assigned polling location by:

      • Greeting and assisting voters
      • Verifying pre-registered voters on the roll sheet
      • Checking proof of residency for walk-in voters
      • Distributing the correct ballots
      • Ensuring a friendly, orderly environment at the polls

      Training and written instructions will be provided on Election Day. No prior experience is necessary!

      Who Can Volunteer?

      Anyone who:

      • Is 18 years or older
      • Lives in or has strong ties to Altadena
      • Is dependable, friendly, and able to serve during their scheduled shift
      • Is not running for a seat on the council
